Hi, I’m Drew Austin — founder of Seniors on the Move and someone who’s always been driven by a deep desire to help people.

Growing up, I was constantly on the move — from the sports field to church events to volunteering in my community. I’ve always thrived in fast-paced environments, but what sports taught me more than anything was that success takes more than speed — it takes discipline, care, and heart. That mindset shaped who I am and how I approach everything I do.

The heart behind Seniors on the Move started with my grandmother, Candy Waites. She built a business that wasn’t just about logistics — it was about compassion. Watching her care for seniors and help them through difficult transitions inspired me in a way I’ll never forget. I saw the impact she made, and I knew I wanted to do the same — to carry that legacy forward in my own way.

Starting this business wasn’t just a career move — it was a calling. With a strong work ethic, a heart for service, and a background rooted in faith, I’ve built Seniors on the Move to serve older adults and their families with integrity, patience, and purpose. Based in Charleston, SC, I help make the moving process smoother, simpler, and more comforting — from downsizing and packing to setting up a new home that feels just right.

Our story begins with a woman named Candy Waites — a compassionate, hardworking move manager who built a respected business dedicated to helping seniors downsize and relocate with dignity. Her work wasn’t just about organizing boxes — it was about honoring people’s lives, stories, and memories.

Inspired by her legacy, her grandson Drew Austin took everything he learned from her — the values, the care, and the high standards — and brought that vision to Charleston, SC.

Today, Seniors on the Move offers comprehensive move management services, including downsizing, packing, donation coordination, and full home setup — all delivered with the personal touch that makes us different.
